Prince William & Kate Balcony Kisses Complete Wedding

If you looked away from the screen for a moment, you probably missed it. It was a quick smooch. Kate turned to her groom, said something with a smile, and the prince reached over, rather hurriedly, and gave her a very quick kiss.

 

      Sealed with a kiss. And another.

The second kiss came just before the Royal Air Force flyover. Another first on a historic day: two kisses on the Buckingham Palace balcony by a newly married royal couple.

The Trick for More Intense Easter Egg Color

Here’s a way to make your Easter eggs a little more unique this year: decoupage! My kids and I tried it out a few years ago and they loved it.
We used origami paper and two sizes of shaped hole punches to cut out shapes in the spectrum of colors. Then we set a bowl of Mod Podge in the middle of the table and gave each child their own sponge brush. It was great fun. Lohan quickly released from jail in theft case

LOS ANGELES - The day unfolded all too familiarly for Lindsay Lohan: a court hearing, a jail sentence, a quick release.
The starlet appeared before a judge Friday for the fourth time in nearly a year and was sentenced to 120 days for violating her probation by taking a designer necklace.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner said she thought the actress had intentionally taken the $2,500 necklace from an upscale Venice store and shown poor judgment in not trying to return it until police became involved.
The judge reduced the actress' charge from felony grand theft to a misdemeanor and imposed the 120-day sentence.

Weekend Rehab: Detoxing with an Ayurvedic Massage

Las Vegas is not my favorite city for a vacation. Between the late nights, the smoke-filled casinos and the over-the-top shows, it's an intense destination-not all that relaxing. After a few days in Sin City this weekend, I felt (and looked!) pretty haggard. So I snuck away from the group for a few hours and made a bee-line for the Qua Baths & Spa at Caesar's Palace-now this is the kind of place you want to go to recharge. There are dozens of treatment rooms, steaming-hot (clothing-optional) pools and even an ice room where it "snows" (check out the pic). I opted for an ayurvedic massage, which is designed to increase circulation and help with digestion. After the previous night's all-you-can-eat buffet, it sounded like just the thing.
The therapist began by taking my pulse in order to determine the right oil for my "dosha" (an ayurvedic term that refers to the way your body is functioning at that minute). She said my heart rate was "snake like" (not good, I'm assuming) and chose an herbal oil to help calm it down. The massage was majorly soothing-all the tension in my muscles dissolved, my stuffy sinuses cleared and my dull headache disappeared. The highlight of the treatment was something called "shirodhara", which came at the very end: a warm stream of oil poured over my forehead (the "third eye") and through my hair. As hokey as it sounds, it totally cleared my head. Isn't it amazing how a few hours at the spa can feel like a vacation, while three days away can be so so tiring?

Cheyenne Woods, Tiger’s niece, wins at ACC championships

There's something familiar about that golfer there at right. Something in the face, the pose, the swing ... nope, can't quite place it.
Kidding, of course; that sterling golfer there is Cheyenne Woods, niece of one Tiger Woods. And while she shares a game and some genes with Woods, she's just done something he hasn't in quite some time: win, and win big.
Woods, a 20-year-old Wake Forest student, won the ACC Women's Golf Championship on Sunday with a closing round of 3-under 68. She played a bogey-free round, and won by ... well, let's let her proud uncle tell the story:
"My niece, Cheyenne, just won the ACC golf title by 7 shots! That's awesome, I'm so proud of her," Tiger Woods tweeted shortly afterward.
Cheyenne Woods is the daughter of Earl Woods Jr., Tiger's half-brother who remains estranged from Tiger Woods. Cheyenne is currently an amateur, but you have to bet that the LPGA is dancing in the streets at the prospect of getting a Woods of its own, for more than just the occasional tournament, in a few years.

Reese Witherspoon Flaunts Wedding Ring at 'Water For Elephants' Premiere

 Want to promote your Depression-era circus drama? Grab co-star Robert Pattinson, and flash your wedding ring for the cameras. That's what Reese Witherspoon did Sunday night at the New York premiere for her new movie "Water For Elephants," where the just-married actress -- sporting a huge diamond rock from husband Jim Toth -- appeared happy and healthy as she posed for photos with the "Twilight" hunk.
Witherspoon appeared eager to make up for calling her makeout scenes with Pattinson "disgusting." The actor had a terrible cold -- including a runny nose -- while filming his role as Witherspoon's younger lovah in the film, grossing her out (and us too).
"Even if this guy is sick, I'm so lucky. We had a great time," Witherspoon gushed to reporters on the red carpet. "Not only is he super sexy and obviously incredibly handsome, but he's really a lovely, nice person."

Miss Maine USA to Skip Big Pageant for Wedding

Miss Maine USA is going to sit out Donald Trump's Miss USA Pageant to attend her big sister's wedding.
NBC moved the Miss USA Pageant from its traditional slot in April to June. Emily Johnson says the new weekend is the only one in which she had other plans — plans that trump the contest.
Johnson, a Baylor University graduate and accomplished pianist, is allowed to keep her crown, but she's giving up the title, prizes and appearances.
Mackenzie Davis, executive director of the Miss Maine USA pageant, says she understands Johnson's reasoning, but she says Miss Maine is a serious commitment and that she's disappointed Johnson withdrew from her duties.
The state's participant in the Miss USA Pageant will be the first runner-up, Ashley Marble, of Cumberland.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is sad that he’s not young anymore

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been busy since he left the California governor's office in January.
Among other things, he's traveled to South America with director pal James Cameron; attended a Scorpions concert in Moscow with former USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev; and been immortalized as a comic book superhero known as The Governator.
But while his life seems pretty great from the outside, Schwarzenegger confesses in the latest Newsweek that he has trouble looking at himself in the mirror these days--though it's not because of the sorry fiscal shape in which he left California. Rather, it seems the 63-year-old ex-governor is having trouble coming to terms with the fact he's getting old.
"I feel terrific about where I am in my life, when I look back at what I've accomplished," the former governor tells Lloyd Grove. "But I feel so sh*tty when I look at myself in the mirror."
Indeed, Schwarzenegger is a long way from his days as Conan the Barbarian. He's heavier, and his perpetually spray-tanned face is accentuated with crow's feet. But he's still in decent shape for a guy his age--not that Schwarzenegger sees that.
"I'm not competing, I'm not ripping off my shirt and trying to sell the body," the former governor frets. "But when I stand in front of the mirror and really look, I wonder: What the f*ck happened here? Jesus Christ. What a beating!"
Ironically, Schwarzenegger's comments come just a few months after his oldest daughter, Katherine, authored a book aimed at helping young women deal with body-image issues. In her book, Katherine Schwarzenegger, who is 20, admitted that she had been "self-conscious" about her weight and other issues during high school, but, with the help of her parents, had come to embrace both her inner and outer beauty.
It's a favor she might have to repay to her father, who is apparently coming to grips with his own body issues.

Miley Cyrus Doesn't Want to Party in the U.S.A. Anymore

Miley Cyrus' biggest post-Hannah Montana hit came with her summer anthem "Party in the U.S.A.," but these days Miley needs to go outside the States to get her kicks. Namely, Europe, Australia, and anywhere else that isn't her native country. Currently in the midst of a successful world tour, Miley revealed to the AP that even though she's getting standing ovations in countries that don't primarily speak English, she's feeling a lack of love in the United States -- to the point that she's not sure whether to plan a trek for her fans here.
"I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don't know if they want me to tour or not," Cyrus said. "Right now I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love and Australia and South America have done that for me. Kind of going to the places where I get the most love. Don't want to go anywhere where I don't feel completely comfortable with it."
However, Miley's decision not to tour the States probably has to do less with not feeling the love and more to do with ticket sales: Since the arrival of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, the old guard of Disney stars -- Miley, Demi Lovato, and the Jonas Brothers -- have seen their popularity diminish significantly. Miley may still be a paparazzi fixture, but like Lindsay Lohan, cameras and tabloids are more concerned with whom she's dating or what she is (or isn't) wearing than what she is up to career-wise.
The tabloid scrutiny over the past year about her family's personal lives has also given the Cyrus clan a nice reprieve. "I think it's good, especially when you go on the road. You have to make sure everyone is happy before you start traveling, you're away," Cyrus added. "My family is good. They are stoked for tour. As long as I'm happy they are happy." So while Miley is happy these days, unfortunately her American fans are not.

Actor Nicolas Cage arrested in New Orleans (AP)

NEW ORLEANS - Actor Nicolas Cage was arrested after he got drunk in the city's French Quarter and argued in the street with his wife over whether a house they were in front of was theirs, police said Saturday.
The couple was in front of a home that Cage insisted they were renting, police said. When she said it wasn't theirs, Cage grabbed her arm, according to a police news release.
Cage started hitting vehicles and tried to get into a taxi, police said. An officer saw that Cage was drunk and told him to get out of the cab. Cage then started yelling at the officer.
The actor has been booked on charges of domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness. He was released on $11,000 bond Saturday.
Representatives for Cage could not immediately be reached Saturday.
Cage has been a frequent visitor to New Orleans, where he has owned property and shot movies. He has also had financial troubles, despite being one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood.
He had been behind on taxes and has said he's had to sell numerous assets because of his finances. He sued his former business manager in October 2009 for $20 million, claiming the man's advice led him to financial ruin.
Cage won an Academy Award for his performance in 1995's "Leaving Las Vegas."

Clijsters injures herself while dancing at nephew’s wedding

A tip for all women's tennis players: Don't go to Western Europe and expect to make it out healthy.
For the second time in nine months, a top-ranked women's player suffered a freak accident in a Western European country that will force her to miss a major part of the tennis season. Serena Williams stepped on a piece of broken glass before an exhibition match in Munich last July and hasn't been on the court since. Recently, Kim Clijsters was dancing at the wedding of her nephew and turned her ankle, an injury which could force her out of next month's French Open.
Clijsters revealed the news on her website (translated from Dutch):

At the wedding party of her cousin Tim, Kim injured her ankle severely. The consequences are rather dire. After a visit to the doctor, echo and NMR the diagnosis is a severe strain of both the medial and lateral ligaments of the right ankle and a torn ligaments, a torn capsule of the ankle joint, a hematoma and torn tendon sheath.

Inventions by Kids

Most kids are creative -- they color and make up games -- but some kids use their creativity to invent new products.

"Kids are natural innovators," said Jon Dudas, who used to work for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office but is now the president of FIRST, an organization designed to help foster innovations by kids in science and technology.

Dean Kamen, the founder of FIRST and the inventor of the Segway personal transporter, got his first patent when he was 17 for an insulin pump. "His mom had to sign the papers!" Dudas said.

One of the youngest inventors, Dudas recalls, was just two. "Her parents had sort of sectioned off a place where she couldn't open the cabinet doors. She used suction cups and an extension," Dudas explained. "Her parents thought it was a neat idea -- to use for people in wheelchairs with limited movement," he said. She had a patent by age 4!

Kids have been inventing things for hundreds of years and now, thanks to organizations like the Liberty Science Center, FIRST and By Kids, for Kids they're feeling more inspired and more confident to invent. And, turning their products into sales is becoming more of a reality.

Harvard twins stuck with Facebook agreement

SAN FRANCISCO – A federal appeals court ruled Monday that former Harvard University schoolmates of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg can't undo their settlement over creation of the social networking site.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Monday that Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss were savvy enough to understand what they were agreeing to when they signed the agreement in 2008. The deal called for a $20 million cash payment and a partial ownership of Facebook. A third classmate, Divya Narendra, was part of the settlement with the twins but did not pursue the second lawsuit seeking to undo the agreement.

Monday's ruling upholds a lower court decision enforcing the settlement during the six years of litigation that grew so contentious that the dispute was dramatized in the Oscar-nominated film, "The Social Network."

The settlement is now worth more than $160 million because of Facebook's increased valuation.

The twins had alleged they were misled about Facebook's value when they agreed to settle their lawsuit that claimed Zuckerberg stole their idea to launch Facebook.

The Most Dangerous Thing You'll Do All Day

We stand around a lot here at Men’s Health. In fact, a few of us don’t even have office chairs. Instead, we write, edit, and answer e-mails—a lot of e-mails—while standing in front of our computers. All day long. Why?

It all started last summer, when Assistant Editor Maria Masters came across a shocking study in the Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise (one of dozens of research journals we comb each month as we put together the magazine). Scientists at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Louisiana analyzed the lifestyles of more than 17,000 men and women over about 13 years, and found that people who sit for most of the day are 54 percent more likely to die of heart attacks.

That’s right—I said 54 percent!

Masters immediately called the lead researcher at Pennington, a professor named Peter Katzmarzyk. Turns out, this wasn’t the first study to link sitting and heart disease. Similar research actually dates back to 1953, when British researchers found that (sitting) bus drivers were twice as likely to die of heart attacks as (standing) trolley operators.

Beware: It's April Fools' Day

Consider this a public service announcement: Friday is April Fools' Day. Aspiring pranksters are scouring the Web for ideas on how to trick their friends, co-workers, and (perish the thought!) their sweet, innocent children. Over the past 24 hours, online lookups for "april fools day pranks" and "april fools day jokes" have more than doubled.
Most folks are simply seeking out lighthearted pranks. To wit, the interest in "easy april fools day pranks" far outweighs lookups for "elaborate april fools day pranks." And what could be easier than sending an April Fools' Day text. Lookups for examples of prankster text messages are up more than 50%. So, you should probably take any mysterious messages you receive tomorrow with a grain of salt.
In terms of proposed targets, co-workers seem to be the most popular marks. Web searches on "how to trick coworkers" and "best april fools day office pranks" are both surging. Mashable offers plenty of ideas, including tricking your co-workers into thinking that their computers have been equipped with speech-recognition technology. (Watch them talk to their monitors like, well, fools.) Just remember that it's not a good idea to: a) make the victim cry, and b) do anything that will get you in trouble with HR.
